Thirty Fifth Annual Show - Saturday 10th July 2010

To be held in the Marquee on Keyworth Playing Fields

Infant and Junior Schools of Keyworth

Special Feature Classes

We are again running feature classes for schools as part of the Horticultural, Arts and Crafts Show and would like to invite your school to take part. The classes continue to be age/year related and are reserved specifically for entries of individual work produced by children whilst at school. Schools will not be asked to work on other classes in the young peoples section of the show although any encouragement to pupils to do so would be very welcome; open classes for young people are reserved for work produced by them outside school. Entries will be collected during w/c 5th July ready for judging on 9th July by an independent adjudicator.

The special Schools Feature Classes are being sponsored by the Keyworth and District Arts Association and the Keyworth and District Gardening Association. The theme for this year is The Garden and Gardening and we hope this topic will interest the children, stimulate their imagination and provide teachers with a topical subject linking to aspects of the curriculum.

Show Class 87. Reception Year – A picture of a Flower

Show Class 88. Years 1 & 2 – A Picture of a Scarecrow

Show Class 89. Years 3 & 4 – A Picture of a Water Garden

Show Class 90. Years 5 & 6 – A design for a Kitchen Garden

The main purpose of holding the Schools Feature Classes is to involve the schools in this annual community event and allow the children and the schools to exhibit their skills to a wider audience. There will be prizes of £3, £2 and £1 respectively for first, second and third prizes awarded to the individual winning entrants in each of the four classes.
